In November 2020, we conducted a survey of our top referring physicians regarding docbox integration with their various practice software systems. Many thanks to all who took the time to answer the questions.
The response rate was impressive. We received a lot of positive feedback and a few critical ones. Since we want to continuously improve our products and processes and thus also your experience as a user, we take this feedback seriously and also examine possible measures with our partners and customers.
Furthermore, it turned out that a few functions are completely unknown. Therefore, in this newsletter we have put together a few tips & tricks for you in dealing with docbox or the practice software interface.
Use the full potential of your practice software interface
Most users are familiar with the standard function of the docbox interface, the transfer of patient data from the practice software to docbox with automatic login to docbox (so-called single sign-on).

However, most manufacturers have other functions available. For example, did you already know that many providers allow you to include attachments with patient data? Or that you can receive the registration confirmation or documents sent to you, such as discharge reports , electronically and file them directly in the patient’s KG with just a few clicks?
Where you can find more information about the functionality in your practice software, we have compiled here for you.
Higher efficiency through comfort functions
Achieving a high level of comfort for our users is one of the main goals in the further development of docbox, in addition to the security and stability of the system.

Gain the highest possible efficiency by using docbox’s convenience features. Create templates for recurring logins. Mark your favorites with one click. And use the Cache function to pause the completion of an application:
Improved CHOP and ICD coding
Hirslanden requires the CHOP on some forms to indicate treatment and the ICD code for diagnosis. Users have complained in the past that it is sometimes difficult to find the relevant codes.
Therefore, in cooperation with Hirslanden and ID Suisse, we have implemented an improved search for ICD and CHOP codes via the algorithm of ID Diacos. The improved search is available on all relevant forms of the Hirslanden clinics in docbox.
In contrast to the old search, the ID Diacos search is error-tolerant (e.g. fiber is also found instead of fever) and allows the search for synonyms or terms in the patient language and technical language (e.g. “fracture” and “fracture” are found).
